Effects of Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol tablets combined with hysteroscopic endometrial polypectomy on patients with endometrial polyps
Objective:To observe effects of Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol tablets combined with hysteroscopic endometrial polypectomy on patients with endometrial polyps(EP).Methods:The clinical data of 99 patients with EP admitted to this hospital from January 2021 to October 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatment options, they were divided into control group(n=48)and observation group(n=51).The control group was treated with hysteroscopic endometrial polypectomy, while the observation group was treated with Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol tablets on the basis of that of the control group. The endometrial thickness, the menstrual bleeding volume[pictorial blood loss assessment chart(PBAC)]score, the sex hormone indexes[follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH),progesterone(P)]levels, the inflammatory factors[interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),C-reactive protein(CRP)]levels, the incidence of complications, and the recurrence rate were compared between the two groups before and after the surgery.Results:1,3 and 6 months after the surgery, the endometrial thickness levels of the two groups were smaller than those before the surgery, those of the observation group were smaller than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).1,3 and 6 months after the surgery, the PBAC scores of the two groups were lower than those before the surgery, that in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).6 months after the surgery, the levels of FSH,LH and P in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).6 months after the surgery, the levels of IL-6,TNF-α and CRP in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).The recurrence rate of the observation group was 5.88%(3/51),which was lower than 20.83%(10/48)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol tablets combined with hysteroscopic endometrial polypectomy for the EP patients can reduce the endometrial thickness, the PBAC scores, the sex hormone index levels, the inflammatory factor levels and the recurrence rate. Moreover,it is superior to simple hysteroscopic endometrial polypectomy treatment.
