Application effects of acceptance and commitment therapy combined with situational communication training in patients with bipolar disorders
Objective:To observe application effects of acceptance and commitment therapy(ACT)combined with situational communication training in patients with bipolar disorders. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 82 patients with bipolar disorders admitted to the hospital from February 2020 to May 2022.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group,41 cases in each group. The control group implemented situational communication training, while the observation group combined ACT on the basis of that of the control group. The scores of mania[Young's Mania rating scale(YMRS)],anxiety[Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA)],depression[Hamilton depression scale(HAMD)],social dysfunction[social disability screening schedule(SDSS)],self-efficacy[general self-efficacy scale(GSES)]and resilience[acceptance and action questionnaire-second edition(AAQ-II),cognitive fusion questionnaire(CFQ-F)]were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results:After 3 and 6 months of intervention, the scores of YMRS,HAMA and HAMD in the two groups were lower than those before the intervention, those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The SDSS scores of the two groups were lower than those before the intervention, and that in the observation group was lower than that in the control group;the GSES scores of the two groups were higher than those before the intervention, and that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the AAQ-II and CFQ-F of the two groups were lower than those before the intervention, those in the observation group was lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:ACT combined with situational communication training in the patients with bipolar disorders can reduce the degree of mania, anxiety and depression, improve the social function and the self-efficacy,and improve the psychological resilience. Moreover,it is superior to simple situational communication training.
