Effects of Huaiqihuang granules combined with Azithromycin in treatment of children with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia
Objective:To observe effects of Huaiqihuang granules combined with Azithromycin in treatment of children with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 80 children with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia admitted to this hospital from January 2020 to December 2022.According to the random number table method,they were divided into control group and study group,40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Azithromycin,while the study group was treated with Huaiqihuang granules on the basis of that of the control group.The clinical efficacy,the TCM syndrome scores,the lung function indexes[forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),forced vital capacity(FVC),peak expiratory flow(PEF)]levels and the immune function indexes[Toll-like receptor(TLR)7,TLR9,interleukin-6(IL-6),interferon-γ(IFN-γ)]levels before and after the treatment,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the study group was 95.00%(38/40),which was higher than 80.00%(32/40)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the scores of TCM syndromes such as fever,cough,chest pain,asthma and anorexia in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the levels of FEV1,FVC and PEF in the two groups were higher than those before the treatment,those in the study group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of TLR7,TLR9 and IL-6 in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,and those in the study group were lower than those in the control group;the levels of IFN-γ in the two groups were higher than those before the treatment,and those in the study group were higher than those in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Huaiqihuang granules combined with Azithromycin in the treatment of the children with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia can improve the total effective rate of treatment and the levels of lung function indexes,improve the levels of immune function indexes,and reduce the scores of TCM syndrome.Moreover,it is superior to simple Azithromycin treatment.
