Correlations among abdominal fat CT parameters, serum SAA and GP73 levels and severity of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
Objective:To analyze correlations among abdominal fat CT parameters, serum amyloid A(SAA)and golgi protein 73(GP73)levels and severity of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Methods:The clinical data of 63 patients with NAFLD admitted to this hospital from January 2022 to September 2023 were retrospectively analyzed and they were set as the study group;and 63 healthy subjects were selected as the control group. The abdominal fat CT parameters[visceral fat area(VAA),total fat area(TAA),skeletal muscle area(SMA),CT value of liver and spleen(CTL/S)]and serum SAA and GP73 levels were compared between the two groups and patients with different severities of NAFLD.Spearman was used to analyze the correlations among the abdominal fat CT parameters, the serum SAA and GP73 levels and the severity of NAFLD.Results:The levels of VAA,TAA,SMA and the serum SAA and GP73 levels in the study group were higher than those in the control group, while the CTL/S value was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The comparison of VAA,TAA,SMA and the serum SAA and GP73 levels in the NAFLD patients with different severities of NAFLD showed that:severe patients>moderate patients>mild patients;the comparison of CTL/S values among the patients with different severities of NAFLD showed that:mild patients>moderate patients>severe patients;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The Spearman correlation analysis showed that the levels of VAA,TAA,SMA,serum SAA,and GP73 were positively correlated with the severity of NAFLD(r>0,P<0.05),while CTL/S was negatively correlated with the severity of NAFLD(r<0,P<0.05).Conclusions:The abdominal fat CT parameters as well as the serum SAA and GP73 levels are correlated with the severity of NAFLD.
