Comparison of effects of minimally invasive rotary resection and open tumor resection in treatment of patients with benign breast tumors
Objective:To compare effects of minimally invasive rotary resection and open tumor resection in treatment of patients with benign breast tumors. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 100 patients with benign breast tumors admitted to this hospital from 2022 to 2023.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and study group,50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with open tumor resection, while the study group was treated with minimally invasive rotary resection. The levels of before and after surgery inflammatory factors[C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6)],and perioperative index levels, the scar length, the aesthetics[Vancouver scar scale(VSS)]score, and the incidence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results:Three days after the surgery, the levels of CRP and IL-6 in the two groups were higher than those before the surgery, but those in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incision healing time and the hospitalization time of the study group were shorter than those of the control group, the visual analogue scale(VAS)score was lower than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scar length of the study group was shorter than that of the control group, the VSS score was lower than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the incidence of postoperative complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Minimally invasive rotary resection in the treatment of the patients with benign breast tumors can reduce the levels of inflammatory factors, the aesthetic scores and the incidence of postoperative complications, improve the levels of perioperative indexes, and shorten the scar length. Moreover,it is superior to open tumor resection.
