Application effects of psychological nursing based on hope theory in patients with epilepsy
Objective:To observe application effects of psychological nursing based on hope theory in patients with epilepsy. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 62 patients with epilepsy admitted to the hospital from October 2021 to October 2022.According to the random number table method, they were divided into observation group and control group,31 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was given psychological nursing based on hope theory on the basis of that of the control group. Both groups were treated for 6 months. The scores of hope[Herth hope index(HHI)],negative emotions[self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS)],stigma[social impact scale(SIS)],self-acceptance[self-acceptance questionnaire(SAQ)]and quality of life[quality of life in epileps-31(QOLIE-31)]before and after the nursing, and the nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results:After the nursing, the scores of HHI,SAQ and QOLIE-31 in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the nursing, the scores of SAS,SDS and SIS in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the nursing satisfaction of the observation group was 96.77%(30/31),which was higher than 74.19%(23/31)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The psychological nursing based on hope theory in the patients with epilepsy can improve the scores of hope,self-acceptance,quality of life and the nursing satisfaction, and reduce the scores of negative emotion and stigma. Moreover,it is superior to the routine nursing.
