Application effects of forced-air-warming blanket in patients undergoing abdominal surgery
Objective:To observe application effects of forced-air-warming blanket in patients undergoing abdominal surgery.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 108 patients who underwent elective abdominal surgery in this hospital from August 2020 to August 2022.According to the random number table method,they were divided into control group and study group,54 cases in each group.The control group was given routine warm keeping measures,while the study group was given the forced-air-warming blanket on the basis of that of the control group.The body temperature levels at different time after admission,the perioperative indexes(incidence of hypothermia,tracheal intubation and extubation time,hospitalization time),the incidence of complications 24 h after the surgery,and the levels of heart rate and systolic blood pressure at different time were compared between the two groups.Results:At 15,30,45 min after entering the room,the body temperature of the study group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of hypothermia in the study group was lower than that in the control group,the tracheal intubation and extubation time and hospitalization time were shorter than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the study group was 1.85%(1/54),which was lower than 16.67%(9/54)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,at the end of the surgery,the levels of heart rate and systolic blood pressure in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:On the basis of the conventional warm keeping measures,the forced-air-warming blanket can improve the body temperature of the patients undergoing abdominal surgery and reduce the levels of perioperative indexes,the incidence of complications,and maintain stable the levels of heart rate and systolic blood pressure.Moreover,it is superior to simple conventional warm keeping measures.
