Application effects of bracketless invisible appliance in adolescent orthodontic children
Objective:To observe application effects of bracketless invisible appliance in adolescent orthodontic children. Methods:The clinical data of 62 adolescent orthodontic children admitted to this hospital from June 2023 to December 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the different treatment methods, they were divided into control group and observation group,31 cases in each group. The control group was treated with traditional fixed appliance, while the observation group was treated with bracketless invisible appliance. The levels of periodontal related indexes[gingival index(GI),gingival crevicular probing depth(SPD),sulcus bleeding index(SBI),plaque index(PLI)]and gingival crevicular fluid inflammatory indexes[interleukin-1β(IL-1β),interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)]before and 6 months after the treatment, and the correction satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results:After 6 months of treatment, the scores of GI,SBI,PLI and SPD in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment, those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of IL-6,IL-1β and TNF-α in gingival crevicular fluid of the two groups were higher than those before the treatment, but those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the correction satisfaction of the observation group was 93.55%,which was higher than 70.97%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The bracketless invisible appliance in the adolescent orthodontic children can improve the satisfaction of orthodontic treatment, and reduce the levels of periodontal related indexes and gingival crevicular fluid inflammatory indexes. Moreover,it is superior to traditional fixed appliance treatment.
