Effects of bilateral incision bilateral plate internal fixation in treatment of patients with tibial plateau fractures
Objective:To observe effects of bilateral incision bilateral plate internal fixation in treatment of patients with tibial plateau fractures.Methods:The clinical data of 60 patients with tibial plateau fractures admitted to this hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different surgical methods,they were divided into control group and observation group,30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with unilateral incision unilateral plate internal fixation,while the observation group was treated with bilateral incision bilateral plate internal fixation.The operation related indexes(intraoperative blood loss,operation time,hospitalization time and fracture healing time),the excellent and good rate of knee function recovery,the pain[visual analogue scale(VAS)]and the knee joint function[hospital for special surgery knee function scale(HSS)]scores before and after the surgery,and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups.Results:There were no significant differences in the intraoperative blood loss and the operation time between the two groups(P>0.05).The hospitalization time and the fracture healing time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The excellent and good rate of knee function recovery in the observation group was 96.67%(29/30),which was higher than 73.33%(22/30)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).1 and 3 months after the surgery,the VAS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,the HSS scores were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Bilateral incision bilateral plate internal fixation in the treatment of patients with tibial plateau fracture can shorten the hospitalization time and the fracture healing time,improve the excellent and good rate of knee function recovery and the knee function score,and reduce the pain scores.Moreover,it is superior to unilateral incision unilateral plate internal fixation.
