Application effects of Remimazolam in general anesthesia of elderly patients undergoing hip replacement
Objective:To observe application effects of Remimazolam in general anesthesia of elderly patients undergoing hip replacement. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 110 elderly patients who underwent elective hip replacement in this hospital from January 2021 to January 2023.They were divided into study group and control group by using the random number table method,55 cases in each group. Both groups were given general anesthesia. The control group was anesthetized with Propofol, while the study group was anesthetized with Remimazolam. The levels of hemodynamic indexes[mean arterial pressure(MAP),heart rate]and anesthesia related indexes(anesthesia recovery time, spontaneous breathing recovery time, resuscitation room stay time)at different times[preoperative(T0),10 min after anesthesia(T1),30 min after anesthesia(T2),end of surgery(T3)],the delirium severity[confusion assessment method(CAM)]score, and the cognitive function[mini-mental state examination scale(MMSE)]score before and after the surgery were compared between the two groups. Results:At T0,there were no significant differences in MAP and heart rate between the two groups(P>0.05).At T1,T2 and T3,the levels of MAP and heart rate in the two groups were lower than those at T0,but those in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The anesthesia recovery time, the spontaneous breathing recovery time and the resuscitation room stay time in the study group were shorter than those in the control group, the CAM score was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).On the 1st and 3rd day after the surgery, the MMSE scores of the two groups were lower than those before the surgery, but those in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Remimazolam in general anesthesia for the elderly patients undergoing hip replacement can improve the levels of hemodynamic indexes and the cognitive function scores, improve the levels of anesthesia-related i indexes, and reduce the delirium severity scores. Moreover,it is superior to Propofol anesthesia.
