Effects of Carbetocin combined with Oxytocin in treatment of patients with postpartum hemorrhage due to uterine inertia
Objective:To observe effects of Carbetocin combined with Oxytocin in treatment of patients with postpartum hemorrhage due to uterine inertia.Methods:The clinical data of 78 patients with postpartum hemorrhage caused by uterine inertia admitted to this hospital from May 2022 to March 2024 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatment methods,they were divided into control group and observation group,39 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Oxytocin,while the observation group was treated with Carbetocin on the basis of that of the control group.The clinical efficacy,the levels of uterine contraction indexes(uterine contraction intensity,uterine contraction duration),and the uterine artery hemodynamics indexes(uterine artery pulsation index,resistance index,peak systolic velocity)before and after the treatment,the complete hemostasis time,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.87%(37/39),which was higher than 79.49%(31/39)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the uterine contraction intensity in the observation group was greater than that in the control group,the uterine contraction duration was longer than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the uterine artery pulsation index and resistance index levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the peak systolic velocity of uterine artery was higher than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The complete hemostasis time of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Carbetocin combined with Oxytocin in the treatment of the patients with postpartum hemorrhage can improve the total effective rate of treatment,increase the uterine contraction intensity,prolong the uterine contraction duration,shorten the complete hemostasis time,and improve the levels of uterine artery hemodynamics.Moreover,it is superior to simple Oxytocin treatment.
