Effects of recombinant human interferon α2a combined with microwave in treatment of patients with chronic cervicitis complicated with human papillomavirus infection
Objective:To observe effects of recombinant human interferon α2a combined with microwave in treatment of patients with chronic cervicitis complicated with human papillomavirus(HPV)infection. Methods:The clinical data of 126 patients with chronic cervicitis complicated with HPV infection admitted to the hospital from November 2022 to November 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into control group and observation group,63 cases in each group. The control group was treated with microwave, while the observation group was treated with recombinant human interferon α2a suppository on the basis of that of the control group. Both groups were treated continuously for 3 months. The clinical efficacy, the levels of symptom-related indicators(wound healing time, normal urination time, normal vaginal secretion time),vaginal microecological indicators(vaginal pH value, abnormal rate of Lactobacilli),and inflammatory factors[interleukin-4(IL-4),interleukin-12(IL-12),interferon-γ(IFN-γ)]levels before and after the treatment, the HPV negative conversion rate, and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 95.24%(60/63),which was higher than 77.78%(49/63)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The wound healing time, the normal urination time, and the normal vaginal secretion time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the vaginal pH value and the abnormal rate of Lactobacilli in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the level of IL-4 in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the levels of IL-12 and IFN-γ were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The HPV negative conversion rate in the observation group was 65.08%(41/63),which was higher than 34.92%(22/63)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Recombinant human interferon α2a combined with microwave in the treatment of the patients with chronic cervicitis and HPV infection can improve the total effective rate of treatment and the HPV negative conversion rate, improve the levels of symptom-related indicators and inflammatory factors, and reduce the levels of vaginal microecological indicators. Moreover,it is superior to simple microwave therapy treatment.
