Effects of low frequency repetitive transcranial stimulation combined with Sertraline in treatment of patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder
Objective:To observe effects of low frequency repetitive transcranial stimulation combined with Sertraline in treatment of patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 90 patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder admitted to the hospital from January 2021 to January 2024.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group,45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Sertraline, while the observation group was treated with low frequency repetitive transcranial stimulation on the basis of that of the control group. The clinical efficacy, the scores of depression[Hamilton depression scale(HAMD)]and anxiety[Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA)]before and after the treatment, the levels of neurotransmitters[5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT),dopamine(DA),excitatory amino acid(EAA)],and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.33%(42/45),which was higher than 68.89%(31/45)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment, the scores of HAMD and HAMA in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment, those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of 5-HT,DA and EAA in the two groups were higher than those before the treatment, those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group and,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Low frequency repetitive transcranial stimulation combined with Sertraline in the treatment of the patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder can improve the clinical efficacy, relieve the anxiety and depression, and improve the levels of neurotransmitters. Moreover,it is superior to simple Sertraline treatment.
