Effects of Butylphthalide combined with Citicoline sodium in treatment of patients with acute cerebral infarction
Objective:To observe effects of Butylphthalide combined with Citicoline sodium in treatment of patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 86 patients with acute cerebral infarction admitted to the hospital from August 2020 to May 2023.According to the random number table method, they were divided into study group and control group,43 cases in each group. Both groups were given the basic treatment. On this basis, the control group was treated with Citicoline sodium, while the study group was treated with Butylphthalide on the basis of that of the control group. Both groups were treated for 1 week. The clinical efficacy, the neurological deficit[National Institutes of Health stroke scale(NIHSS)]score, the central nervous system specific protein(S100β)level,the hemorheology index[plasma viscosity(PV),whole blood low shear viscosity(LBV)]levels, the vascular endothelial function index[endothelin-1(ET-1),homocysteine(Hcy),nitric oxide(NO)]levels before and after the treatment, and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the study group was 93.02%(40/43),which was higher than 76.74%(33/43)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the NIHSS score and the levels of S100β,PV and LBV in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the level of NO in the study group was higher than that in the control group, the levels of ET-1 and Hcy were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Butylphthalide combined with Citicoline sodium in the treatment of the patients with acute cerebral infarction can improve the total effective rate of treatment, reduce the neurological deficit scores, the S100β levels and the hemorheology index levels, and improve the levels of vascular endothelial function index. Moreover,it is superior to simple Citicoline sodium treatment.
