Effects of Vitamin A and D drops combined with Xiaoer Chiqiao Qingre granules in treatment of children with recurrent respiratory tract infection
Objective:To observe effects of Vitamin A and D drops combined with Xiaoer Chiqiao Qingre granules in treatment of children with recurrent respiratory tract infection.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 82 children with recurrent respiratory tract infection admitted to the hospital from February 2021 to February 2022.According to the random number table method,they were divided into observation group and control group,41 cases in each group.Both groups were given routine treatment.On this basis,the control group was treated with Xiaoer Chiqiao Qingre granules,while the observation group was treated with Vitamin A and D drops on the basis of that of the control group.Both groups were treated for 2 weeks.The clinical efficacy,the disappearance time of clinical symptoms(cough,fever,wheezing),the levels of immunoglobulin indexes[immunoglobulin A(IgA),immunoglobulin G(IgG)]before and after the treatment,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 90.24%(37/41),which was higher than 73.17%(30/41)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The disappearance time of clinical symptoms such as cough,fever and wheezing in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the levels of IgA and IgG in the two groups were higher than those before the treatment,those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Vitamin A and D drops combined with Xiaoer Chiqiao Qingre granules in the treatment of the children with recurrent respiratory tract infection can improve the total effective rate and the immunoglobulin index levels,and shorten the disappearance time of clinical symptoms.Moreover,it is superior to simple Xiaoer Chiqiao Qingre granules.
