Effects of Banxia Xiexin decoction combined with conventional quadruple therapy in treatment of Helicobacter pylori-associated gastritis
Objective:To observe effects of Banxia Xiexin decoction combined with conventional quadruple therapy on patients with Helicobacter pylori(Hp)-associated gastritis.Methods:The clinical data of 102 patients with Hp-associated gastritis admitted to the hospital from July 2022 to September 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatment methods,they were divided into control group and observation group,51 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional quadruple therapy,while the observation group was treated with Banxia Xiexin decoction on the basis of that of the control group.The clinical efficacy,the Hp eradication rate,the pepsinogen(PG;PGI,PGII)levels,the gastrointestinal hormones[somatostatin(SS),gastrin-17(G-17),motilin(MTL)]levels before and after the treatment,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.08%(49/51),which was higher than 82.35%(42/51)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The Hp eradication rate in the observation group was 92.16%(47/51),which was higher than 76.47%(39/51)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the levels of serum PGI and PGII in the two groups were higher than those before the treatment,those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The SS levels of the two groups were higher than those before the treatment,and that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group;the levels of G-17 and MTL in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Banxia Xiexin decoction combined with conventional quadruple therapy can improve the clinical efficacy and the Hp eradication rate,increase the levels of pepsinogen and improve the secretion of gastrointestinal hormones in the patients with Hp-related gastritis.Moreover,it is superior to conventional quadruple therapy.
