Predictive value of combined detection of color Doppler ultrasound blood flow parameters of lateral thoracic artery and serum VEGF and HAS2 levels for recurrence and metastasis of postoperative patients with breast cancer
Objective:To investigate predictive value of combined detection of color Doppler ultrasound blood flow parameters of lateral thoracic artery(LTA)and serum levels of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and hyaluronic acid synthase 2(HAS2)for recurrence and metastasis in postoperative patients with breast cancer. Methods:The clinical data of 63 patients with breast cancer who underwent radical mastectomy in this hospital from May 2022 to June 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. These patients were divided into good prognosis group(n=50)and poor prognosis group(n=13)according to whether there was recurrence and metastasis after 6 months of follow-up.The LTA color Doppler ultrasound blood flow parameters and the serum levels of VEGF and HAS2 were compared between the two groups. The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drawn to analyze the predictive value for recurrence and metastasis of the postoperative patients with breast cancer. Results:The resistance index(RI),pulsatility index(PI)and end-systolic peak/end-diastolic peak(S/D)in the poor prognosis group were lower than those in the good prognosis group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of serum VEGF and HAS2 in the poor prognosis group were higher than those in the good prognosis group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The ROC curve showed that the area under the curve of single and combined detection of RI,PI,S/D,serum VEGF and HAS2 levels for predicting recurrence and metastasis of the postoperative patients with breast cancer were 0.746,0.797,0.818,0.758,0.738 and 0.932,respectively.The predictive value of combined detection was higher than that of single detection. Conclusions:The value of combined detection of LTA color Doppler ultrasound blood flow parameters and serum VEGF and HAS2 levels in the prediction of recurrence and metastasis of the postoperative patients with breast cancer is higher than that of single detection.
