Application effects of competence iceberg model management in operating room nursing management
Objective:To observe application effects of competence iceberg model management in operating room nursing management. Methods:From January to June 2022,76 nursing staffin the operating room of the hospital were selected to implement routine operating room nursing management. From July to December 2022,76 nursing staffin the operating room of the hospital were selected to implement the competence iceberg model management. The scores of nursing management quality[service quality scale(SERVQUAL)],the core competence of nursing staff[competency inventory for registered nurse(CIRN)]before and after the management, the incidence of adverse events in the operating room, and the patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results:The scores of each dimension of SERVQUAL such as tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the management, the scores of CIRN dimensions such as critical thinking and scientific research, clinical nursing, leadership, interpersonal relationship, legal and ethical practice, professional development, education and consultation in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse events in the operating room of the observation group patients was 3.00%(3/100),which was lower than 10.00%(10/100)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the patient satisfaction degree in the observation group was 97.00%(97/100),which was higher than 90.00%(90/100)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The competency iceberg model management in the operating room nursing management can improve the nursing management quality scores, the core competence scores of nursing staffand the patient satisfaction, and reduce the incidence of adverse events in the operating room. Moreover,it is superior to the routine operating room nursing management.
