Application effects of color warning label management in management of narcotic drug
Objective:To observation application effects of color warning label management in management of narcotic drugs. Methods:The data of 500 anesthesia prescriptions stored in the pharmacy department of the hospital from May 2021 to May 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.Among them,250 from May 2021 to May 2022 was implemented routine narcotic drug management, while 250 from June 2022 to May 2023 was implemented the color warning label narcotic drug management on the basis of routine narcotic drug management. The satisfaction of medical staff, the narcotic drug management quality score, the inventory time of narcotic drugs, the time of taking medicine, and the error rate of taking medicine were compared before and after the implementation. Results:The satisfaction of medical staffafter the implementation was 100.00%,which was higher than 70.00%before the implementation, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of narcotic drug management quality such as storage, identification, placement and total score after implementation were higher than those before implementation, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The average inventory time and the drug taking time of narcotic drugs after the implementation were shorter than those before the implementation, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the error rate of taking narcotic drugs after implementation was 1.60%(4/250),which was lower than 8.00%(20/250)before the implementation, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The implementation of color warning label management on the basis of the routine narcotic drug management can improve the satisfaction of medical staffand the narcotic drug management quality scores, shorten the time of taking and inventory of narcotic drugs, and reduce the error rate of taking narcotic drugs. Moreover,it is superior to simple routine narcotic drug management.
