Comparison of effects of iRoot SP paste and AH plus paste single-point root canal filling in treatment of patients with dental pulp disease
Objective:To compare effects of iRoot SP paste and AH plus paste single-point root canal filling in treatment of patients with dental pulp disease.Methods:The clinical data of 100 patients with dental pulp disease admitted to this hospital from 2021 to 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the different pastes used,they were divided into control group and observation group,50 cases in each group.The control group was treated with AH plus paste single-point root canal filling,while the observation group was treated with iRoot SP paste single-point root canal filling.The score of pain[visual analogue scale(VAS)],the levels of periodontal indexes[gingival index(GI),sulcus bleeding index(SBI),tooth mobility]and inflammatory factors in gingival crevicular fluid[tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),C-reactive protein(CRP)],the bite force,and the masticatory efficiency were compared between the two groups before and after the treatment.Results:After the treatment,the VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the GI,the SBI scores and the tooth mobility of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the treatment,the levels of IL-6,TNF-α and CRP in gingival crevicular fluid of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,after the treatment,the bite force and the masticatory efficiency of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:iRoot SP paste single tip root canal filling in the treatment of the patients with dental pulp disease can reduce the pain scores and the periodontal indexes and gingival crevicular fluid inflammatory factors level,and improve the bite force and the masticatory efficiency.Moreover,it is superior to AH plus paste single-point root canal filling treatment.
