Comparison of effects of ultrasound-guided microwave ablation and minimally invasive circumcision in treatment of patients with benign breast nodules
Objective:To compare effects of ultrasound-guided microwave ablation and minimally invasive circumcision in treatment of patients with benign breast nodules. Methods:The clinical data of 80 patients with benign breast nodules admitted to this hospital from January 2020 to March 2024 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different surgical methods, they were divided into control group and observation group,40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with ultrasound-guided minimally invasive circumcision, while the observation group was treated with ultrasound-guided microwave ablation. The perioperative index levels, the excellent and good rate of breast aesthetics, the levels of inflammatory factors[interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),C-reactive protein(CRP)]before and after the surgery, the incidence of complications, and the recurrence rate 1 month after the surgery were compared between the two groups. Results:The incision healing time and the operation time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, the incision length was smaller than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in hospitalization time between the two groups(P>0.05);There was no statistically significant differencen in the rate of excellent breast beauty between the two groups(P>0.05);After the surgery, the levels of IL-6,TNF-α and CRP in the two groups were higher than those before the surgery, but those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was 5.00%(2/40),which was lower than 25.00%(10/40)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the recurrence rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:Ultrasound-guided microwave ablation for the patients with benign breast nodules can shorten the incision healing time and the operation time, reduce the incision length, and reduce the levels of inflammatory factors and the incidence of complications. Moreover,it is superior to ultrasound-guided minimally invasive circumcision.
