Application effects of hospital-community-family linkage nursing in children with refractory epilepsy
Objective:To observe application effects of hospital-community-family linkage nursing in children with refractory epilepsy. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 94 children with refractory epilepsy admitted to the hospital from May 2021 to May 2023.They were divided into observation group and control group by using the random number table method,47 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received the hospital-community-family linkage nursing. The scores of parents'epilepsy knowledge mastery and ketogenic diet compliance, the seizure frequency, the seizure duration, the quality of life score, and the parents'satisfaction scores were compared between the two groups[quality of life in children with epilepsy(QOLCE)]before and after the nursing. Results:After the nursing, the scores of parents'epilepsy knowledge mastery such as etiology, clinical symptoms, emergency treatment and daily management in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the nursing, the compliance scores of ketogenic diet such as diet proportion, diet volume and eating on time in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the nursing, the seizure frequency in the observation group was less than that in the control group, the duration was shorter than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the nursing, the QOLCE scores of social function, emotional health, behavior, cognitive function and physical function in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the parents'satisfaction scores of communication attitude, demand satisfaction, rehabilitation guidance, operation technology and nursing effect in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The hospital-community-family linkage nursing in the children with refractory epilepsy can improve the parents'epilepsy knowledge mastery, and satisfaction scores, improve the children's ketogenic diet compliance and the quality of life, and reduce the seizure frequency and the seizure duration. Moreover,it is superior to the routine nursing.
