Application effects of continuous nursing based on acceptance and commitment therapy in postoperative chemotherapy patients with breast cancer
Objective:To observe application effects of continuous nursing based on acceptance and commitment therapy(ACT)in postoperative chemotherapy patients with breast cancer. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 120 patients with breast cancer admitted to the hospital from January to December 2022.They were divided into control group and study group by using the random number table method,60 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, while the study group was given continuous nursing based on ACT on the basis of that of the control group. The scores of stigma[social impact scale(SIS)],psychological flexibility[acceptance and action questionnaire-second wdition(AAQ-II)],fear of disease[fear of disease progression-short form(FoP-Q-SF)],perceived benefits of disease[perceived benefits of diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer(PB-DT-BC)],self-care ability[exercise of self-care agency scale(ESCA)]and quality of life[functional assessment of cancer therapy-breast(FACT-B)]were compared between the two groups before and after the nursing. Results:After the nursing, the SIS scores of the two groups were lower than those before the nursing, and that in the study group was lower than that in the control group;the AAQ-II scores of the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, and that in the study group was higher than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the nursing,FoP-Q-SF scores of the two groups were lower than those before the nursing, and that in the study group was lower than that in the control group;the PB-DT-BC scores of the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, and that in the study group was higher than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,after the nursing, the scores of ESCA and FACT-B in the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, those in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:On the basis of the routine nursing, the ACT-based continuous nursing can improve the scores of AAQ-II,PB-DT-BC,ESCA and FACT-B,and reduce the scores of SIS and FoP-Q-SF in the postoperative chemotherapy patients with breast cancer. Moreover,it is superior to simple routine nursing.
