Application effects of follow-up breastfeeding nursing in low-birth-weight premature infants
Objective:To observe application effects of follow-up breastfeeding nursing in low-birth-weight premature infants. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 94 low birth weight premature infants admitted to the hospital from July 2020 to July 2022.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group,47 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received the follow-up breastfeeding nursing. The growth and development indexes(body length, head circumference, body mass)levels, the neurobehavioral development[neonatal behavioral neurological assessment(NBNA)]score before and after the nursing, the incidence of feeding intolerance, and the parental nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results:After the nursing, the body length, the head circumference and the body weight of the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, those of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the nursing, the NBNA scores of unconditional reflex, behavioral ability, passive muscle tension, active muscle tension and general reaction ability in the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of feeding intolerance in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Further,the parental nursing satisfaction in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:The follow-up breastfeeding nursing in the low-birth-weight premature infants can improve the levels of growth and development indexes, the NBNA scores and the parental nursing satisfaction, and reduce the incidence of feeding intolerance. Moreover,it is superior to the routine nursing.
