Effects of Zhitong Huazheng capsules combined with Amoxicillin and Clavulanate potassium tablets in treatment of patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease
Objective:To observe effects of Zhitong Huazheng capsules combined with Amoxicillin and Clavulanate potassium tablets in treatment of patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. Methods:The clinical data of 68 patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease admitted to this hospital from October 2020 to October 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. According to different treatment methods,they were divided into study group and control group,34 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Amoxicillin and Clavulanate potassium tablets,while the study group was treated with Zhitong Huazheng capsules on the basis of that of the control group. Both groups were treated for 14 d. The clinical efficacy,the TCM syndrome scores and the inflammatory factors[C-reactive protein (CRP),tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α),interleukin-6 (IL-6)]levels before and after the treatment,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the study group was 88.24％ (30/34),which was higher than 67.65％ (23/34) of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After the treatment,the scores of TCM syndromes such as large amount of leucorrhea,fever and headache,lower abdominal distension or tingling in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After the treatment,the levels of CRP,IL-6 and TNF-α in the study group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusions:Zhitong Huazheng capsules combined with Amoxicillin and Clavulanate potassium tablets in the treatment of the patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease can improve the total effective rate of treatment and reduce the TCM syndrome scores and the inflammatory factor levels. Moreover,it is superior to simple Amoxicillin and Clavulanate potassium tablets treatment.
