Effects of shoulder three needles combined with extracorporeal shock wave in treatment of patients with periarthritis of shoulder
Objective:To observe effects of shoulder three needles combined with extracorporeal shock wave in treatment of patients with periarthritis of shoulder. Methods:The clinical data of 90 patients with periarthritis of shoulder admitted to this hospital from January to December 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. According to different treatment methods, they were divided into control group (44 cases) and study group (46 cases). Both groups were given drug treatment and routine rehabilitation exercise. On this basis, the control group was treated with extracorporeal shock wave therapy, while the study group was treated with shoulder three needles on the basis of that of the control group. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks. The clinical efficacy, the shoulder joint function[University of California at Los Angeles shoulder score (UCLA),Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA)]score, the shoulder range of motion, the pain[visual analogue scale (VAS)]score, and the inflammatory factors[interleukin-6 (IL-6),C-reactive protein (CRP),tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α)]levels before and after the treatment were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was 95.65% (44/46),which was higher than 79.55% (35/44) in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After the treatment, the scores of UCLA and FMA in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After the treatment, the shoulder ranges of motion of extension, external rotation, abduction and flexion in the study group was greater than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After the treatment, the VAS score of the study group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Further, after the treatment, the levels of IL-6,CRP and TNF-α in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions:Shoulder three needles combined with extracorporeal shock wave in the treatment of the patients with periarthritis of shoulder can improve the total effective rate of treatment and the shoulder joint function scores, improve the shoulder range of motion, and reduce the pain scores and the inflammatory factor levels. Moreover,it is superior to simple extracorporeal shock wave therapy.
