Efficiency of color Doppler ultrasound combined with high-frequency ultrasound in diagnosis of benign polypoid lesions of gallbladder
Objective:Analyze the efficacy of color Doppler ultrasound (CDS) combined with high-frequency ultrasound in the differential diagnosis of gallbladder polypoid lesions (PLG). Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 115 PLG patients admitted to the hospital from January 2020 to December 2022. All patients underwent CDS and high-frequency ultrasound. Using the pathological examination results as the gold standard, the efficiencies of single and combined examination of CDS,high-frequency ultrasound in the diagnosis of benign PLG were analyzed. Kappa test was used to analyze the consistency between different diagnostic methods and pathological examination. Results:The pathological examination showed that among 115 patients with suspected benign PLG,22 cases were malignant,93 cases of benign (including 37 cases of cholesterol polyps,25 cases of inflammatory polyps,18 cases of adenomas and 13 cases of others). CDS examination showed 29 cases of malignant and 86 cases of benign. High-frequency ultrasound showed 29 cases of malignant and 86 cases of benign. CDS combined with high-frequency ultrasound showed 23 cases of malignant and 92 cases of benign. The accuracy of the combined diagnosis of malignant PLG by CDS and high-frequency ultrasound is higher than that of CDS and high-frequency ultrasound alone, and the difference is statistically significant (P<0.05). The Kappa test results showed that the consistency between CDS diagnosis of malignant PLG and pathological examination results was acceptable(Kappa=0.674);The consistency between the results of high-frequency ultrasound diagnosis of malignant PLG and pathological examination is acceptable(Kappa=0.724);The consistency between the results of CDS and high-frequency ultrasound combined examination in diagnosing malignant PLG and pathological examination is good(Kappa=0.917). Conclusions:The consistency between the results of CDS and high-frequency ultrasound combined examination in the differential diagnosis of malignant PLG and pathological examination is good, and the combined examination is more effective in the differential diagnosis of PLG than the single examination of the two.
