Comparison of effects of minimally invasive pedicle screw rod system internal fixation and open reduction and internal fixation in treatment of patients with Tile C2-C3 pelvic fractures
Objective:To compare effects of minimally invasive pedicle screw rod system internal fixation and open reduction and internal fixation in treatment of patients with Tile C2-C3 pelvic fractures. Methods:The clinical data of 82 patients with pelvic fractures admitted to Longxi County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to July 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. According to different surgical methods, they were divided into control group (n=39) and study group (n=43). The control group was treated with open reduction and internal fixation, while the study group was treated with minimally invasive pedicle screw rod system internal fixation. The operation related indexes (intraoperative blood loss, operation time, incision length, hospitalization time, fracture healing time) levels, the postoperative pelvic fracture reduction effect, the pelvic function score, and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results:The intraoperative blood loss in the study group was less than that in the control group, the operation time, incision length, hospitalization time and fracture healing time were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total effective rate of pelvic fracture reduction in the study group was 93.02% (40/43),which was higher than 74.36% (29/39) in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). At 6 and 9 weeks after the surgery, the Majeed pelvic function score of the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Further, the incidence of postoperative complications in the study group was 2.33%,which was lower than 17.95% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions:Minimally invasive pedicle screw rod system internal fixation for the patients with Tile C2-C3 pelvic fractures can improve the total effective rate of postoperative pelvic fracture reduction and the pelvic function, and reduce the levels of surgical related indexes and the incidence of complications. Moreover,it is superior to open reduction and internal fixation.
