Application effects of pre-rehabilitation concept-based nursing on patients with lumbar disc herniation surgeries
Objective:To observe application effects of pre-rehabilitation concept-based nursing on patients with lumbar disc herniation surgeries. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on patients with lumbar disc herniation admitted to this hospital from January 2022 to January 2023. According to the random number table method, they were divided into study group and control group,44 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, while the study group was given the pre-rehabilitation concept-based nursing on the basis of that of the control group. The pain degree[visual analogue scale (VAS)]score, the anxiety[self-rating anxiety scale (SAS)]score, the lumbar function[Oswestry dysfunction index (ODI)]score before and after the nursing, and the incidence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results:Three days and 1 month after the surgery, the VAS scores of the two groups were lower than those before the surgery, those in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Before and 1 month after the surgery, the SAS scores of the two groups were lower than those at the first visit, those in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). One month after the surgery, the ODI scores of the two groups were lower than those before the surgery, that in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Further, the incidence of postoperative complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions:On the basis of the routine nursing, the pre-rehabilitation concept-based nursing can reduce the postoperative VAS scores,SAS scores,ODI scores and the incidence of complications in the patients with lumbar disc herniation. Moreover,it is superior to simple routine nursing.
