Application effects of staged nursing based on evidence-based theory in postoperative patients with scaphoid fractures
Objective:To observe application effects of staged nursing based on evidence-based theory in postoperative patients with scaphoid fractures. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 84 patients with scaphoid fractures who were admitted to the hospital from May 2021 to May 2023 for surgical treatment. According to the random number table method, they were divided into observation group (n=42) and control group (n=42). The control group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was given the staged nursing based on evidence-based theory on the basis of that of the control group. The scores of wrist function (Cooney wrist joint score),upper limb function[simplified Fugl-Meyer motor assessment (FMA)]and activities of daily living[modified Barthel index (MBI)]were compared between the two groups before and after the nursing. Results:After the nursing, the Cooney wrist joint scores of the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After the nursing, the FMA scores of the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Further, after the nursing, the MBI scores of the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions:Staged nursing based on evidence-based theory on the basis of the routine nursing can improve the scores of wrist function, upper limb function and activities of daily living in the postoperative patients with scaphoid fractures.
