Analysis of epidemiological characteristics of influenza in Hua'an County from 2019 to 2023
Objective:To analyze epidemiological characteristics of influenza in Hua'an county from 2019 to 2023. Methods:A retrospective analysis was performed on the data of 24457 samples of acute respiratory tract infection reported by 10 township hospitals (community health service centers),county hospitals and traditional Chinese medicine hospitals in Hua'an county,Zhangzhou city,Fujian province from 2019 to 2023. The epidemiological characteristics of influenza virus typing, season, age and population distribution from 2019 to 2023 were observed. Results:Among the 24457 of acute respiratory tract infection,12659 were positive for influenza, with the highest number of positive cases in 2019 and the lowest in 2023. The main influenza virus types from 2019 to 2023 were influenza A (H1N1),influenza A (H3N2),influenza A (H9N2),influenza B (BV) and mixed type. From 2019 to 2020,there was an alternating epidemic trend of influenza A (H3N2) and B (BV). In 2021,the epidemic trend of influenza A (H1N1) and B (BV) was alternating. From 2022 to 2023,the epidemic was dominated by influenza B (BV). In 2019,the incidence of influenza was the highest in winter and spring, and relatively stable in summer and autumn. Compared with 2019,the incidence of influenza in 2020-2021 was still the highest in winter and spring, but it increased significantly in summer and autumn. The incidence of influenza was the highest in winter and spring from 2022 to 2023. From 2019 to 2023,the age group with the highest incidence of influenza was 5-14 years old;from 2019 to 2023,the highest incidence of influenza was among the primary and secondary school students. Conclusions:From 2019 to 2023,the incidence of influenza in Hua'an county is relatively high. Different types of influenza viruses are circulating alternately, and the incidence of influenza are high in winter and spring, with primary and secondary school students aged 5-14 as the high-risk population.
