Effects of Pantoprazole combined with Octreotide in treatment of patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding
Objective:To observe effects of Pantoprazole combined with Octreotide in treatment of patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Methods:The clinical data of 84 patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding admitted to the hospital from 2018 to 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. According to different treatment methods, they were divided into study group (n=42) and control group (n=42). The control group was treated with Octreotide, while the study group was treated with Pantoprazole on the basis of that of the control group. The clinical efficacy, the disease-related index levels, the coagulation function indexes[activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT),prothrombin time (PT),fibrinogen (FIB)],hemoglobin (Hb) levels before and after the treatment, and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was 95.24%,which was higher than 78.57% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The amount of bleeding in the study group was less than that in the control group, the hemostasis time and the hospitalization time were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After the treatment, the levels of PT and APTT in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment, and those in the study group were lower than those in the control group;the FIB levels of the two groups were higher than those before the treatment, and that in the study group was higher than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After the treatment, the Hb levels of the two groups were higher than those before the treatment, that in the study group was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). However, there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusions:Pantoprazole combined with Octreotide in the treatment of the patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding can improve the total effective rate of treatment and the Hb levels, improve the levels of coagulation function indexes, and reduce the levels of disease-related indexes. Moreover,it is superior to simple Octreotide treatment.
