Effects of Xueshuantong capsules combined with Butylphthalide injection in treatment of patients with acute cerebral infarction
Objective:To observe effects of Xueshuantong capsules combined with Butylphthalide injection in treatment of patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 90 patients with acute cerebral infarction admitted to this hospital from December 2022 to December 2023. They were divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method,45 cases in each. The control group was treated with Butylphthalide sodium chloride injection,while the observation group was treated with compound Xueshuantong capsules on the basis of that of the control group. The clinical efficacy,the levels of cerebral hemodynamic indexes[middle cerebral artery resistance index (RI),mean cerebral blood flow velocity (Vm)],neurological function indexes[brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF),neuropeptide Y (NPY),glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP),homocysteine (Hcy)]and oxidative stress indexes[matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9),interleukin-6 (IL-6),myeloperoxidase (MPO),lipid peroxide (LPO)]before and after the treatment,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 91.11％,which was higher than 66.67％ of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After the treatment,the RI levels of the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,and that in the observation group was lower than the that in control group;the Vm levels of the two groups were higher than those before the treatment,and that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The levels of BDNF in the two groups were higher than those before the treatment,and that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group;the levels of NPY,GFAP and Hcy in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The levels of MMP-9,IL-6,MPO and LPO in the two groups were lower than those before the treatment,those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusions:Xueshuantong capsules combined with Butylphthalide injection in the treatment of the patients with acute cerebral infarction can improve the total effective rate of treatment,improve the levels of hemodynamic indexes and neurological function indexes,and reduce the levels of oxidative stress indexes. Moreover,it is superior to simple Butylphthalide injection treatment.
