Application effects of TCM nursing in patients with cerebral infarction in convalescent period
Objective:To observe application effects of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) nursing in patients with cerebral infarction in convalescent period. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 68 patients with convalescent cerebral infarction admitted to the department of internal medicine of Zhengzhou hospital of the traditional Chinese medicine from May 2020 to May 2021. According to the random number table method, they were randomly divided into observation group and control group,34 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was given the TCM nursing on the basis of that of the control group. The scores of psychological resilience[Connor-Davidson resilience scale (CD-RISC)],health behavior[health promoting lifestyle profile Ⅱ(HPLP Ⅱ)],motor function[Fugl-Meyer assessment scale (FMA)],neurological deficit[National Institutes of Health stroke scale (NIHSS)]and quality of life (Barthel index) were compared between the two groups before and after the nursing. Results:After the nursing, the CD-RISC scores of the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After the nursing, the scores of HPLP Ⅱ and FMA in the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Further, the BI scores of the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, and that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group;the NIHSS scores of the two groups were lower than those before the nursing, and that in the observation group was lower than that in the control group;and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions:The application of TCM nursing in the patients with convalescent cerebral infarction can improve their psychological resilience levels, promote the formation of a healthy lifestyle, improve the motor function, reduce the neurological damage, and improve the quality of life. Moreover,it is superior to simple routine nursing.
