Application effects of interaction model of client health behavior nursing in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus
Objective:To observe application effects of interaction model of client health behavior (IMCHB) nursing in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Methods:The clinical data of 96 patients with GDM admitted to this hospital from May 2021 to August 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. According to different nursing methods, they were divided into observation group and control group,48 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was given the IMCHB nursing on the basis of that of the control group. The scores of disease knowledge mastery and self-efficacy[general self-efficacy scale (GSES)]before and after the nursing, the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes, and the nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results:After the nursing, the scores of disease knowledge mastery such as pathogenesis, treatment measures, maternal and infant hazards and long-term prognosis in the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After the nursing, the GSES scores of the two groups were higher than those before the nursing, that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes in the observation group was 2.08% (1/48),which was lower than 16.67% (8/48) in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Further, the nursing satisfaction of the observation group was 93.75% (45/48),which was higher than 79.17% (38/48) of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions:The IMCHB nursing in the GDM patients can improve the disease knowledge mastery, the self-efficacy scores and the nursing satisfaction, and reduce the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes. Moreover,it is superior to the routine nursing.
