How Does Agricultural Entrepreneurship Promote the Development of New Agricultural Business Entities?A Case Study of Farmer Cooperative
This paper constructs an analytical framework for examining the impact of agricultural entrepreneurship on the development of new agricultural business entities.Based on the survey and interview data of 32 agricultural entrepreneurs in Chibi City,Zhijiang City and Gong'an County of Hubei Province,this paper adopts embedded case analysis method to explore the role of agricultural entrepreneurship in the development of new agricultural business entities.The findings are as follows.First,the"agriculture,rural areas,and farmers"sentiments have a positive effect on the choice of agricultural entrepreneurs to return home to start businesses..It only makes the agricultural entrepreneurs be willing to return to their hometowns,but also makes the agricultural entrepreneurs have a higher preference for starting businesses in the agricultural field,so as to promote the development of new agricultural business entities through returning their hometowns to start businesses.Second,the application ability of modem production factors and information acquisition ability of agricultural entrepreneurs improve the production and operation ability of farmers'cooperatives founded by agricultural entrepreneurs;Third,the social networks of agricultural entrepreneurs improve the operational efficiency of the farmer cooperatives they create through information and trust mechanisms.Therefore,it is necessary to create an environment conducive to the development of rural industries in the field of agricultural entrepreneurship,and strengthen the trust between agricultural entrepreneurs and both large-and small-scale farmers.
