Analysis of first aid knowledge level and willingness to learn among rural residents in Guangdong Province
Objective To investigate the level of first-aid knowledge and the learning willingness of rural residents in Guangdong Province,as well as their influencing factors,to provide solutions and coping mechanisms for improving the first-aid ability of rural residents.Methods The convenient sampling method was adopted to survey 513 rural residents in Guangdong Province,and the survey data was analyzed statistically using SPSS and Excel software.Results The participation rate of residents in emergency training and the level of emergency knowledge were relatively low.Residents are strongly willing to learn,but there are some problems,such as signif-icant differences in group identity and learning abilities,implementation of emergency training,and insufficient government support.Gender,educational level,emergency experience,participation in emergency training,and confidence in learning emergencies are all important factors that affect residents'willingness to learn(P<0.05).Conclusion Medical and health institutions need to establish a well-regulated emergency training system;relevant departments or organizations need to encourage residents to learn first-aid knowledge and be more active in training so as to improve the emergency level of rural residents in Guangdong Province.
