Efficiency of primary medical and health resources supply in rural pastoral areas of Inner Mongolia
Objective To further promote the high-quality development of healthcare services in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region by analyzing the efficiency of primary medical and health resources supply in rural pastoral areas. Methods Based on DEA-Malmquist index model, the input-output method was used to estimate the comprehensive technical efficiency value, pure technical efficiency value and scale efficiency value of medical and health resource supply in rural pastoral areas of Inner Mongolia from 2017 to 2021,and the returns to scale stage of medical and health supply in rural and pastoral areas in different cities of Inner Mongolia were analyzed. The Tobit model was constructed to make an empirical analysis of the external factors affecting the comprehensive technical efficiency of rural pastoral areas in Inner Mongolia. Results Static analysis results showed that in 2021,the comprehensive technical efficiency of only 1 city in Inner Mongolia was 1.000,while the comprehensive tech-nical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of the remaining 11 cities were all less than 1.000.Dynamic analysis results showed that the average value of the total factor production index was 1.294,and the o-verall efficiency level showed an upward trend during 2017-2021.Conclusions The efficiency of resource sup-ply in the rural pastoral areas of the league cities in Inner Mongolia still needs to be improved. The scale of invest-ment in medical and health resources should be optimized to promote regional cooperation in medical and health re-sources between urban and rural areas.
