Improvement in supply efficiency of public health resources in Inner Mongolia based on DEA-Malmquist model
Objective To provide reference for the improvement of regional public health by analyzing the supply efficiency of public health resources in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from 2013 to 2022.Methods Based on DEA-Malmquist index model, the input-output method was used to estimate the efficiency of public health resource supply in Inner Mongolia from 2013 to 2022.The return to scale stages in different periods were analyzed, and the Tobit model was constructed to analyze the regression results. Results From the aspect of spa-tial dimension, the comprehensive technical efficiency of five cities in Inner Mongolia was 1.000 in 2022,and the return to scale was the best, while the comprehensive technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale effi-ciency of the other seven cities were all less than 1.000.From the aspect of time dimension, the average value of the total factor production index was 0.979,and the overall efficiency level showed a downward trend from 2013 to 2022.Among the external influencing factors, population density was conducive to the improvement of supply effi-ciency,per capita GDP and fiscal expenditure decentralization were negatively correlated, and education and ur-banization had an influence but their relationship with supply efficiency was not significant. Conclusion There are still regional differences in resource supply efficiency among the league cities in Inner Mongolia,so it is neces-sary to rationally allocate the supply of regional public health resources, actively improve the supply system of pub-lic health resources, and accelerate the development of regional human resources.
