Medical staff's cognition and attitude towards the emergency management system of traditional Chinese medicine
Objective To explore the status quo of medical staff's cognition and attitude towards the tra-ditional Chinese medicine(TCM)emergency management system for public health emergencies,so as to provide reference for the construction and improvement of the TCM emergency response system, and to improve the emer-gency prevention and control capabilities of major public health emergencies in China. Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted on 240 medical staff who met the inclusion criteria in a tertiary general TCM hospital in Guangzhou by convenience sampling method and SPSS 26.0 software was used to make a descriptive analysis of the cognition and attitude of medical staff with different demographic characteristics, and multiple linear regression a-nalysis was performed on the influencing factors. Results The cognitive and attitude scores of the TCM emergen-cy management system of medical staff, the status quo of the system construction and the role of TCM in the pre-vention and treatment of acute infectious diseases were(44.46±5.38),(40.06±7.11),and(21.31±2.50),respectively.Education level, occupation and department affected the cognitive and attitudinal scores of medical staff. Conclusions The status quo of the construction of the emergency management system of TCM is not satis-factory,and is still hindered by many factors.Hospital managers should attach more importance to the improve-ment in the understanding of medical personnel with low academic qualifications and non-related majors on the pre-vention and treatment of acute infectious diseases with TCM,and the construction of emergency mechanisms in non-major departments.
