Analysis of impact of physical exercise on self-rated health among rural college students at different educational stage
Objective To explore the relationship between educational stage and self-rated health among rural college students,and the moderating role of physical exercise,and to provide reference for improving the health of college students.Method A convenient sampling method was used to conduct an online survey of 18372 rural college students.Chi-square test and multivariate unconditional logistic regression were used for statistical analysis.Result The self-rated health rate of rural college students was 72.26%.Undergraduate(OR=1.58,P<0.001)and postgraduate(OR=1.96,P<0.001)students had a higher risk of self-rated unhealthy.There is a multiplicative interaction between educational stage and physical exercise level on health level.Among students with moderate and high levels of physical exercise,the risk of self-rated unhealthy was lower for postgraduate students(OR=0.57,OR=0.50,all P<0.05).Conclusion The health level of rural college students is good,and higher educational level may negatively impact health level.Physical exercise plays a positive role in the health level of postgraduate students,and increasing physical activity should be encouraged to improve their health levels.
