Impact of medical support,caregiving services on older adults'self-rated health
Objective To explore the impact of medical support and caregiving services in the healthy ag-ing service system on the self-rated health of the elderly in China,and to provide reference for the construction of healthy China.Methods Data from the CHARLS 2018 survey were analyzed using statistical descriptive and Or-dered(Ordered)Probit regression models.Results The overall self-assessed health level of the elderly was not high,and the average score was 2.902 points.Long-term family care and social participation were positive influ-ence factors for the self-assessed health of the elderly(P<0.01);the number of home-based community elderly care services and the quality of health care services positively and significantly affected the health perception of the elderly(P<0.05);and the relationship between employees'pension insurance and the self-assessed health showed a positive significance at the 1%level.Conclusions Medical support and caregiving services can improve the health status of the elderly.It is necessary to establish a supportive family elderly care policy system and a social participation support system for the elderly,so as to promote the integrated development of home,community,and institutional elderly care services,increase the supply of high-quality medical and elderly care integrated services,optimize the medical insurance system and elderly insurance system,and hence healthy aging in China is promoted.
