Research on rain shelter cultivation techniques of pearl oil apricot in simple facili-ties
Pearl oil apricot has won the favor of consumers due to its smooth and shiny surface,golden and sweet flesh,and high soluble solid content.However,it has physiological defects of being prone to cracking in the near mature stage when exposed to rain,which is difficult to manage in open-field cultivation.In years with high rainfall,the cracking rate of apricot fruit is over 90％,and the product value is basically lost.Therefore,the promotion area of pearl oil apricot in the Yimeng mountainous area has always been small,and low quantity and high quality will inevitably lead to high prices.In recent years,the purchase price of pearl oil apricot in the field has often hovered around 12 yuan/kg,with considerable unit profits.Based on this,exploring simple and rain shelter cultivation techniques to solve the problem of fruit cracking production is of significant production importance.Since 2019,research on rain shelter cultivation techniques in Taibaizhuang village,Dongmeng Town,Fei County was conducted,technical measures such as high ridge and small row cultivation,tree disc coverage with non-woven fabrics,water-saving irrigation,and arch shed dynamic film covering were adopted,which have enhanced the ability to defend against frost damage during blooming period,increased fruit setting rate,and successfully reduced rhizosphere soil moisture and indoor air humidity,with a high-quality fruit rate of 94％and a fruit cracking rate of less than 5％,with mature supporting technologies.These techniques were of strong promotion and application value.
