Performance and cultivation techniques of mid-late ripening apple variety Qincui in-troduced into the region of old course of the Huanghe River
Qincui is a new mid-to-late ripening apple cultivar selected by Northwest A & F University.It was introduced and tested in the Old Course of the Yellow River region in 2017.The shape of Qincui fruit is cylin-der,with average single fruit weight of 265 g.The fruit surface is smooth with bright red stripes,small lenti-cels.The flesh is light yellow,tender,crisp and juicy with soluble solids content of 14.95%and the flesh hard-ness of 9.18 kg/cm2.It has sour and sweet taste,with very good quality and pleasant aroma.The fruit ma-tures at late September.Qincui has good disease resistance and good comprehensive characters,so it is suitable for cultivation in the Old Course of the Yellow River region as a good mid-late ripening apple cultivar.
