Nine techniques for improving the quality and efficiency of white flesh loquat culti-vation
White flesh loquat is the major loquat cultivar in Taizhou,Zhejiang Province.It has become the leading loquat cultivar in the development of local loquat industry because of its excellent quality,good taste and high production effi-ciency.However,white flesh loquat has poor stress resistance,high requirement for the cultivation and management,and is prone to severe yield reduction by disastrous weather.Based on years of experimental demonstration and produc-tion practice,this paper summarized and proposed 9 techniques for improving the quality and efficiency of cultivation,such as sparse planting and ridge culture,protected culture,dwarf-pruning,combined soil and crown fertilization,com-bined macro,medium and trace elements application,thinning fruit according to the fruit cluster,bagging with special large bag,integrated control of diseases and pests,and prevention of various kinds of disastrous weather.It has certain guiding and popularization significance for the high quality and yield cultivation of white flesh loquat.
