Observation and analysis of pollen morphology of 41 germplasm of 9 species of kiwifruit
To understand the genetic relationship within kiwifruit genus, pollens of forty-one germplasm of 9 kiwifruit species were used as test materials, and the morphology of pollen was observed by scanning electron microscopy combined with ImageJ.The tested materials were cluster analyzed according to six trait indicators of pollen including polar axis length(P),equatorial axis length(E),germination ditch length, germination ditch width, the ratio of P to E and size. The results showed that the test pollens were all single-grain pollen, and in single-grain,isopolar and radially symmetric forms. The polar axis lengths ranged from 21.50 to 33.40μm,and the equatorial axis lengths ranged from 9.87 to 16.24 μm,the germination ditch lengths ranged from 17.53 to 29.08 μm,the germination ditch widths ranged from 0.47 to 2.03 μm,pollen grain size(polar axis × equatorial axis)ranged from 218.68 to 543.18 μm2,the ratio of polar axis length to equatorial axis length ranged from 1.36 to 2.26.The shape of the pollens was perprolate or prolate, and the germination pore types were all triple pore grooves. The polar surface view was triple cleft round, all of which were N3P4C5 type. The three types of outer wall ornamentation were corrugated, granular and warty, accounting for 63.41%,19.51%and 17.08%of the total number of samples, respectively. At a genetic distance of 7.5,the test mate-rials can be divided into 3 taxa.At a genetic distance of 1.5,the test materials could be divided into 6 taxa,a-mong which,Actinidia chinensis Planch.was divided into 4 taxa.At those two genetic distances,Actinidia tetramera Maxim.was divide into one taxon alone.
