Breeding and key cultivation techniques of a new Chinese jujube cultivar Binzao No.1
By local survey,a new fresh Chinese jujube cultivar Binzao No.1 with early-maturing,high-yield,superior quality and strong adaptability was selected.The fruit of this variety is shaped like a bullet head,with average fruit weight of 19.0 g,thin skin,juicy and sweet pulp.The fruit flesh is crisp with excellent taste and flavor.The soluble sugar content is 26.9%in the crispy ripening period,and up to 30.9%in full red period.The total acid content is 1.92 g/kg,vitamin C content is 130.54 mg/100 g,and edible rate is 96.8%.Binzao No.1 ripens in mid-late August.This variety is of great importance to the enrichment of fresh jujube variety resources and the structural adjustment of jujube industry.
