Research Progress on resistance of Diaphorina citri to pesticides and its mechanisms
Diaphorina citri predominantly infests citrus and other Rutaceae plants,serving as the primary natural vector for transmitting citrus huanglongbing.Strict control of the D.citri is crucial in current efforts to control citrus huanglongbing.Chemical control is currently the predominant method for control of D.citri,but extensive and improper use of pesticides has led to varying degrees of resistance in D.citri to certain insec-ticides.Therefore,studying the occurrence and mechanisms of D.citri resistance is essential for effective management of insecticide resistance.To provide a thorough understanding and summary of achievements in D.citri resistance research,offering references for further studies and scientific control of D.citri,research progress on methods for assessing D.citri resistance,resistance characteristics,cross-resistance,resistance mechanisms,and resistance management strategies at home and abroad since 2018 was reviewed.
