Effects of different bagging materials on fruit quality of Sanyuebai loquat
In order to investigate the influence of different bagging materials on the fruit quality of Sanyuebai,a white-flesh loquat new strain,six commercial bagging materials including double-layered yellow kraft paper bag,single layer yellow kraft paper bag,double-layered bag with kraft paper outer layer and woven inner layer,single layer woven bag,double-layered bag with outer yellow kraft paper and inner black kraft paper,and single layer outer yellow and inner black kraft paper bag were used to bag the fruit of Sanyuebai,with non-bagging as control.The sensory,external appearance,and internal quality parameters of the loquat fruits were determined and the most suitable fruit bagging material was identified by principal component analysis.The results showed that all six bagging materials increased the commercial fruit rate,single fruit weight,and edible rate of Sanyuebai loquats,but reduced the soluble solid content and sugar-acid ratio of the fruit.Through principal component analysis and comprehensive evaluation,the comprehensive score of the fruits bagged with double-layer bag of outer kraft paper and inner woven was the highest,better than that of other bagging materials.It could be used preferentially for bagging the Sanyuebai loquat fruits.
