Grey relational and path analysis between fruit quality and mineral elements of duri-an
In order to clarify the relationship between fruit quality and mineral nutrition of durian,and provide theoretical support for scientific and rational fertilization and improvement of durian fruit quality,the relation-ship between 8 mineral elements and 9 quality indexes of 12 durian varieties was studied by grey relational and path analysis.The results showed that the contents of macro-elements in fruit were in the order of K>P>Mg>Ca,and the contents of micro-elements were in the order of Fe>Zn>Mn>Cu.Grey relational analysis showed that contents of Mn and Zn were highly correlated with that of soluble sugar and titrable acid.Path a-nalysis showed that the content of Ca had the largest direct effect on titrable acid,vitamin C,crude fat,edible rate and fruit shape index.The content of Mg had the largest direct effect on soluble sugar content,and the content of Mn had the largest direct effect on soluble protein and fruit weight.Both analysis methods showed that the content of Ca in durian fruit had the greatest direct effect on edible rate with the strongest correlation.It is suggested that the fruit quality can be improved by regulating the Mg and Ca contents in durian produc-tion.
